Raffle Benefits

From the MIRA Foundation:

“MIRA Foundation USA, inc was formed in 2008 to provide guide dog services to blind and disabled children as young as 11. We are a 501(c)(3) corporation headquartered in Aberdeen, NC.

This is Cricket and Devon. Cricket is blind and Devon is a guide dog. Help bring blind children like Cricket together with guide dogs like Devon. Support MIRA Foundation USA, providing guide and service dogs to blind and disabled children in America.

We are currently partnering with MIRA Canada, a guide dog school with 28 years of experience and 18 years of successfully pairing guide dogs with children.  We are the first guide dog school in the US to provide dogs to children 11-16 who have the requisite skill set.  As we grow, we will develop our own training facilities along with trainers and staff.

We pay for the trained dogs, recipient training, transportation, living expenses and followup.  The blind recipients of our dogs pay nothing.  It is through donations and fundraisers like this raffle that we can achieve our goals of giving the blind a new lease on life.”
