Raffle Benefits
For each of the past ten years,the Honesdale Harley Owners Group (H.O.G), and the Honesdale Harley Riders (H.H.R.) with the cooperation of Baer Sport Center, holds an annual charity event known as the “Ride for Hope.” This event raises money to help a local family suffering a life altering hardship and over the past ten years, they have helped individuals with cancer, Heart Disease, and various other afflictions. The 2009 recipient will be a local wife and mother of two who is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis.
The event takes place in June each year and consists of a motorcycle raffle, a couple of nice alternate cash prizes along with many door prizes and a poker run with prizes awarded for the best hand. The whole thing is followed by a picnic at the end with live music and plenty of food. The members of the Honesdale Harley Riders HHR take pride in the fact that, with your help, they can help someone who really needs a hand! Raffle Prizes
Grand prize for the raffle winner is a 2009 Harley Davidson CVO FXSTSSE Screaming Eagle Softtail Springer in Black Diamond and Emerald Ice. There are also two cash prizes for second and third place tickets of $2,500 and $1,000. Not too shabby!
Raffle Tickets and Contact Information
There are only 2500 tickets to be sold for this raffle, they are only $20 each and the drawing date is June 21st, 2009 so you’d better get moving if you want a ticket! (Must be in the U.S. to purchase tickets due to regulations, shipping, etc.) To purchase tickets the contact person is Diane Helferich, of Baer Sport Center, who can be reached at 570-253-2000 or e-mail her at baer@baer-inc.com. * Tickets can be purchased in one of two ways: First you can do it by mail with a $20 money order, with your phone number please ,and a self addressed stamped envelope. Secondly you can purchase tickets with a Visa or Mastercard, via Bear Sports Center, for $21 (a buck for the credit card charges). Any questions give Diane a call.
