Raffle Benefits

The Fire Department of Beloit, Ohio. Proceeds are for purchasing new Turnout Gear and towards the Firefighters Association Fund. Turnout Gear is a term used in many fire departments to refer to the system of outer protective clothing worn by firefighters, also commonly known as “bunker gear” or “structural gear”. This can refer, depending on the context, to just the trousers and boots, the pants and jacket, or the entire combination of personal protective equipment and personal protective clothing. The name is derived from the fact that the pants and boots are traditionally kept by the firefighter’s bunk at the fire station to be readily available for use.
