Raffle Benefits

Anyone who earned an undergraduate degree, graduate degree, or certification in industrial arts or technology  education at California University is automatically a society member. Faculty and retired faculty are also members.

The  purpose of the  Industrial Arts / Technology  Education  Alumni  Society is to  organize industrial  arts and technology education alumni, faculty, and retired faculty who share a common interest in California University of Pennsylvania.

The Society is intended to:

1. Provide greater networking opportunities (professionally and socially) for members.
2. Provide increased opportunities for effective relationships with University staff & Students.
3. Align the members with the mission and goals of the university.
4. Engage in fundraising activities to support scholarships.

The society will work to increase support for the program’s activities, curriculum, and extracurricular activities. Members will be kept informed on both academic issues and society activities. Opinions of the membership regarding curriculum and related activities will be solicited and carefully considered. Formal and informal socialization during Homecoming, Alumni Day, the TEAP Conference, or the AET Spring Technology Conference are being considered.

We plan to provide opportunities for members to stay in touch and perhaps to socialize in formal or informal gatherings at various locations. While Homecoming, Alumni Day, and the Spring Conference are perhaps the best examples of appropriate occasions for these kinds of activities, other state, regional, and national events may also provide good opportunities for social and professional gatherings. In fact, one such event take place each year at the annual conference of the Technology Education Association ofPennsylvania in Camp Hill. It has been highly successful and grows significantly each year.
