Independent Living Choices (ILC) was established in 1982 and is a 501 (C) (3) private, non-profit, participant controlled, community based, cross-disability, non-residential agency in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.  We provide unduplicated services to 43 counties in Eastern South Dakota. The founders believed that all people, regardless of disability, should have the right to choose how and where they want to live.  They wanted ILC to provide the basic skills that so many of us take for granted: to take care of our own needs and to make our own decisions…to be independent.    The services we offer are administered following the independent living philosophy of assisting people with disabilities by teaching them to become self advocates and gain self sufficiency in order to achieve or maintain success in an independent living situation.
