Raffle Benefits

It’s that time again -The guys at the Wheels Through Time Museum are back with another amazing bike! This year they have a totally redone 1947 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead that is really something…this would make a pretty good ride, don’t ya think?

This is the 7th year for their raffle and, if they keep coming up with bikes like this one (and last years ’40 Knucklehead), I’m sure their raffles will continue to be huge successes for years to come. Known as “The Museum That Runs” the Wheels Through Time Museum has an astounding collection of antique and classic motorcycles. Located in Maggie Valley, North Carolina, the museum is a true destination for motorcycle buffs of all kinds.

If you are not familiar with the Wheels Through Time Museum I highly recommend taking some time to check out their website (WheelsThroughTime.com). They have tons of great stuff on there with photos, videos, projects and more. If you’re anything like me you are going to get addicted to watching all the videos – you have been warned!

Raffle Bike

“The 2009 Wheels Through Time Raffle Bike is our best raffle bike  since the program started seven years ago — a genuine 1947 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead.  The machine was restored to its present condition by Dale Walksler, curator and founder of the Wheels Through Time Museum.  The motorcycle is finished in original “Flight Red” and boasts full trim, including spotlights, crash-guards, and saddlebags.  The Knucklehead engine, finessed together from all original parts by one of the world’s premier vintage engine builders, Dale Walksler, is of 74″ displacement and is renowned as the engine that “modernized” the American motorcycle.  The machine was restored in November of 2008, and has been started and driven to ensure its mechanical perfection.  All proceeds will go to benefit the Wheels Through Time Museum.”
Matt Walksler, PR Director – Wheels Through Time.
