Regular readers of this site will remember the good folks over at Honesdale Harley Riders from their Ride for Hope raffle last year. Well, here they are back again with another great raffle and event!

“For each of the past ten years,the Honesdale Harley Owners Group (H.O.G), and the Honesdale Harley Riders (H.H.R.) with the cooperation of Baer Sport Center, holds an annual charity event known as the “Ride for Hope.” This event raises money to help a local family suffering a life altering hardship and over the past ten years, they have helped individuals with cancer, Heart Disease, and various other afflictions.

The 2009 recipient was a local wife and mother of two who is suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. The event takes place in June each year and consists of a motorcycle raffle a couple of nice alternate cash prizes along with many door prizes and a poker run with prizes awarded for the best hand. The whole thing is followed by a picnic at the end with live music and plenty of food. The members of the Honesdale Harley Riders HHR take pride in the fact that, with your help, they can help someone who really needs a hand!”
