The good folks at Sitrin Medical Rehabilitation Center are back again with another beautiful Harley Raffle! Sitrin provides inpatient and outpatient comprehensive medical rehabilitation, including physical, occupational, and aquatic therapy, speech and audiology, pediatric therapy, pain management, hand therapy, sports therapy, and many other specialized programs and services for children, adults, and seniors. Reaching out to people with disabilities, Sitrin implemented the region’s first athletic and recreational program for people with physical disabilities in 2001. Its STARS (Success Through Adaptive Recreation & Sports) Program offers wheelchair basketball, adaptive golf, wheelchair road racing, mono-skiing, adaptive paddling, and wheelchair curling. The STARS Program has achieved international acclaim for its wheelchair curling program. Sitrin’s wheelchair curling team, also known as Team USA, won the bronze medal at the World Wheelchair Curling Championships in Switzerland. This was the first time that a United States wheelchair curling team has ever won a medal at the World Games.
Sitrin’s inpatient medical rehabilitation program is accredited by CARF, the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, based upon its commitment, foresight, financial diligence, staff performance, and, most importantly, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes. It is the only long-term care facility in its region to have achieved this distinction.
